A Word About the EntryRAE PID Detector. All LEL sensors can be poisoned by many common chemicals, including:

• Silicone compounds • Lead compounds • Sulfur compounds • Phosphates

Just a few parts per million of these compounds can degrade an LEL sensor. A PID detects many of the same gases as an LEL sensor, therefore a PID is a reliable backup to your LEL sensor. Combine a PID and a four-gas monitor and you have true protection from the unexpected.
