MSA Ultralite

Combines the capabilities of an SCBA and an air-line respirator. The unit is an Ultralite MMR Air Mask (featuring a mask-mounted regulator) with a user-installed Dual-Purpose Adapter that permits connection to an airline. When used in the air-line mode, the cylinder air is bypassed. Upon disconnection of the air line, air is semi-automatically supplied from the unit's low-pressure (2216 psig) 30-minute-rated Composite II Cylinder. Key components include: an Ultravue or Ultra Elite facepiece; a 2nd-stage mask-mounted regulator; a 1st-stage cylinder-carrier mounted regulator; a low-pressure warning bell; a cylinder; and a steel-reinforced flame- and heat-resistant harness.
