Solinst 122 Oil/Water Interface Meter

The Solinst Model 122 Interface Meters are used to detect and measure level and thickness of both LNAPL and DNAPL hydrocarbon layers in wells and tanks. Product is indicated by a steady tone and light. Water is indicated by intermittent signals. Depth is read directly off the flat, polyethylene tape, which is permanently embossed in feet, 10ths, and 100ths, and has stainless steel conductors.

The 122/P1 features a factory sealed 5/8" diameter probe, perfect for smaller wells and drive push holes. The 122/P2 has a 1.5" diameter, and a glass cylinder covering the optics which is resistant to all chemicals. The extra weight is useful for longer tape lengths and DNAPL investigations. Both units have automatic shut off, and can operate for 120 hours on a set of batteries which are housed in easy-access battery drawers in the reel.
